List Building all over the world!

Hello!

Well, good morning, and it is a good morning because I got traffic in the night!  I am so happy! I would thoroughly recommend Feedjit. It’s free, and it shows you not just how many people have come through your blog but also where they come from. Lots of pretty flags to go on your site. I feel like the traffic is zooming past>>>>>.

I just want a few of my lovely readers to sign up to the newsletter and maybe even get the List Building System. They will get all the information we have got to help us build a list of people all interested in their products! What could be better?

Also, regarding traffic, I have a link to an interesting article I found on ProBlogger.com. It gives three good tips on getting more traffic. It is quite an old article but the information is still relevant. Here it is:

http://www.problogger.net/archives/2005/12/30/three-simple-actions-that-doubled-my-website-traffic-in-30-days/

I also noticed that there were many people who were starting out in blogging and wanted to get more tips, which proves there are people out there looking for the kind of information on traffic that we are putting on our blogs.

I actually think that its interesting finding out all this stuff – even doing the research. It feels a bit like panning for gold, I feel great when I find a useful little nugget I can include.

If I find anything else interesting I will most certainly add it.

Until then, best wishes,

Ruth

  1. Hi Ruth

I was on your blog, I see you have a opt in box on your sidebar,
I presume you want it in the header.

Go into your control panel of your blog.
Then go to design and then theme editor.

    Then open your header PHP

It is here you can add content to your header area

You have to be careful because the page has PHP code on it.

So what I do is copy and past the content of the editor page on note pad
    And save it.
Then if I make a mistake all I need to do is paste the original back in

    Keep well and prosper

    Determination is the key

  2. Hi Ruth,

Good to see your blog is up and you are concentrating on traffic. I appreciate your tips on getting traffic. What did you mean by controversial on the TS25 exchange?

I know Paul commented on changing your theme which would change the color too… maybe. My color is distracting too. I just don’t know how to change it without changing the theme. I had a blue header before but I wasted a lot of time trying to change the layout. I settled for the green, but now have to change that too.

In the meantime, you could jazz up the header just by capitalizing The R, S and M.

I did add you to my blogroll. Thanks for the visit.

    Be back soon,

    Hi Ruth

Thanks for stopping by the blog. I have added you to my blog roll. Would you also add my URL to your list as well, thankx.

I wanted to ask you what is your “Tweeter” name (so I can add you to my follow list) and also about ReBlog and Feedjit. I see you have reblog on your 1st post. How does that seem to be working? And with Feedjit, is it just a blog plugin?

    Thanks

    Hey Ruth

Thanks for the comment. I haven’t had much time to work on my business so I’ve still only watched an hour of the 4th module. However, I’ve just been surfing through yours and other people’s blogs and my head is now swimming with ideas!

Gotta get all this down so I stay organised. I live in the UK too by the way, that’s why I missed the coaching session in the first place – had to get up at 7 the next day.

Anyway, good luck getting that traffic, I’ll add you to my blogroll (when I get round to it) :)

    Hi Ruth,

Just wanted to say thanks for your comment on my blog. I just figured out how to add names to my blogroll too – so I added yours – check it out http://www.marketingwithflynny.com

    I havn’t updated my blog yet but here’s a snapshot of what I did yesterday to help with traffic;

    • Researched Twitter and set my blog up to accept it.
    • Go to http://www.twitter.com and set up an account
    • Go to http://www.tweetmyblog.com and get the automatic Twitter WordPress plugin
    • Upload the plugin to your hosting service. Let me know if you can’t do this and I will give you a step by step guide
    • I watched the tutorial video on how to finish installing Twitter correctly. I had to make a few setting changes.
o Login to your blog administration panel
o Click on the link ‘Plugins’ and activate the plugin
o Go to ‘Design’ then ‘Widgets’ and add ‘TweetMyBlog’. Select to show 5 posts.
o This will create a link on your blog called ‘My Twitter Feed’

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

    Hello my friend!
I`m taking a round trip to everyones blog to say hello.

I just got my site up and running after some trouble with my hosting company. All I had on the site got deleted, so I had to build my blog all over from scratch… but thats life. We`re all set now :)

It will be a long and interesting brainstorming session today!

By the way, have you added me to your blogroll?

Come over and leave your link at my new and fresh site :)

    All the best,

    Hi Ruth

Thanks for the comment on my blog about how to do the blogroll. I kept thinking that there must be a quicker way (not that I’m lazy or anything!). So what I’ve done is posted a Page and copied all the names and blog links on there. It shows up at the top called Alex Jeffreys’ Coaching Students. What do you think?

  9. Hi Ruth
I came to your site when I found your name on Arian’s site.
If you’re using wordperss 2.7 then the blogroll is created using “links” The it is named blogroll by drfault but you can create another link category which uses a different name. Glad to hear you’ve been getting traffic and loved your suggestion of using blog directories, will look into that. Create yourself an About page coz most people like tp read them

I’m off to put you on my blogroll now. Please return the compliment whem yopu get it up and running.
