Hello!
Well I am still getting traffic, which for the day is pretty good. But I wouldn’t know about list building because aweber are not in their offices until Saturday. I hope they are having a lovely time.
Yesterday I managed to sort out RSS on this blog, which I hope will have a positive effect. I have claimed my blog at technorati and I was recommended onlywire. Onlywire is a company that will send your blog posts to many different social bookmarking sites all at once. This has the effect of getting your writing out there for people to comment on, almost taking your word to them, rather than them coming ot you.

Onlywire had dual membership, one is free and one you pay for, but it is $25 per year, which to me is a reasonable charge for what it is. My mum used to say £1 is a lot of money if you haven’t got it; I am always reluctant to say “only”, because it does all depend on your perspective. But I think it is a way to get people to read your blog and maybe come back to it. And free is good!
Another traffic targeting tip I came across on Jim Gallaghers blog is RAD or Revolving Ads Depot. You need to go there and see the ads, they look good. There is free membership or paid membership, paid is $25 but that is for a lifetime. So I guess it depends on how long you live to see how much value it is! He he he!
Anyway, both those sites are worth a look.
I am off now to do some more bits and pieces, anything I find that looks good I will come back and tell you all about of course.
Many people are on holiday today I believe – I hope you are all having a good time in your tinsel worlds!
Best wishes,
Ruth

Beth,
Its really easy to make videos. You make them on powerpoint which you already have on your pc. Just make up a bunch of slides. Then find some music that you like, royalty-free stuff. I use kevin MacLoed, he asks for a donation but that’s up to you! Then you have to make the files compatible with your windows move maker, again it will probably be on your pc/laptop. When you put the two together, you have to publish it to your computer first of all, then it is saved as the correct file, which is ,wmi, I think. Then you can upload it to YouTube and Squidoo and wherever you like. If you look at one of my earlier posts, you will see I mention Hey,Spread! which is a site, not free, but not very expensive, where they will upload your video to 14 different sites round the web.
Anyway, I have threatened to write a little ebook on how to make a video on your pc, Nigel Yip already has made one but I think mine would be more basic for the total novice.
Anyway, thanks for posting, come back and see us again sometime. I looked at your blog, it’s great – I especially like the quote by Napoleon Hill!
Best wishes,
Ruth
Hello Ruth!! Merry Christmas!
I have to tell you that I really like your blog! I am going to check out OnlyWire and RAD out. I really like the idea of getting my blog out to many sites at one time. Thanks so much for that information.
Did you make the video yourself? That rocked! I am behind the eightball when it comes to making the videos. I have learning how to make them on my “to-do” list but I haven’t started that yet. I really am impressed with yours! You go girl!
Again, Have a great Holiday Season!
Beth
