| Well I got a sale from my website today. Actually I found it today, it was on the 15th that I got the sale – I don’t check clickbank every day. It was from my site in the dating niche, so I am very pleased about that.
I was thinking, I have been in Wealthy Affiliate now for three months, just over. During that time it has been a steep learning curve for me, and to be honest I am still learning. There are loads of people on WA more experienced than I am, and I am happy to say that because I have learned from them.
To me, it is almost like doing a degree. I have been looking at internet marketing for nine months, and it’s only since I have been at Wealthy Affiliate that I have learned enough to put things into real action and start making positive moves towards a proper income. In the UK a degree is generally three years, and I am hoping that it will be less time than that before I can leave my currrent income behind and do IM full time.
I know that some people wait a year for their first sale, and I also know it depends on how much you put into it. Waiting for the first sale is a nightmare though – because until then you have faith that you can do it, you think that it will work. But once that sale bar moves across at clickbank then you absolutely know that it will work. And hopefully by that time you have lots of squidoo lenses and websites in place that mean you can bring in money from lots of different places, that your income will seriously begin to grow.
I can only speak about my experiences. I know that within three months at Wealthy Affiliate I made my first sale. I can assure you though, there are people who have joined Wealthy Affiliate who make their first sale in their first week, or first few weeks. I think the average must be about six weeks, so my journey was much slower than some people. But I can assure you, it is definitely better than making no money at all, which is what happened for the previous six months.
So, now, I wonder where the journey will take me. I have plans for more sites, in more niches. I have some niches which I am currently trying out, to see exactly how easy it will be to make money from them. I am using all the usual places that everyone talks about to make money, Squidoo – see PotPieGirls One Week Marketing, the easiest way to make money online. EzineArticles, using Travis Bum Marketing Methods, which are free.
What I will say to you is, the way that I learned how to make money is through Wealthy Affiliate. Before then I had tried learning what I could from free offers. I had tried a few products, and not made any money. I had tried a mentor, as regular readers of this blog will know. But what actually made me cold hard cash was Wealthy Affiliate.
So, I will continue to update this blog, and let you know how my internet journey is going, and let you know about the products and services I find along the way.
