Warrior Forum - Adsense
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on November 9th, 2009
Hello!
This week I took a few days off, after writing myself into a brain melt. So many articles! It yielded results though, so I shouldn’t complain.
This week I found a thread on the Warrior Forum that is extremely interesting. In it an internet marketer known as xfactor has diligently explained exactly how he makes $300 per day (yes, guys, that is day!). He does it using an exceptionally simple method including Adsense.
Now many people have said Adsense is dead - but I say long live Adsense. John has given everyone every bit of information that he knows for free on the forum. He has answered so many questions, some of them more than once, and this has resulted in a thread that is 32 pages long.
What is interesting is that he has made all the information anyone would need for nothing, no cost at all, on the forum. He was specifically asked more than once to write a product putting all the information together, which he has done. But actually, all the information is there on the forum which he frequently tells us. In fact, his signature which tells us about his report refers the reader to the thread, so that they can get it all for free.
Also on the thread are people reporting on their successes. So people have actually taken the free advice and made money.
Now you would have thought that bearing in mind they can get everything they need, why would they then buy the course? There is not much difference, although in with the paid course you do get one extra.
The product also includes a forum, and I know one member of the Warrior Forum has designed a wordpress theme to go along with it, although I have no idea if there is a charge associated with the wordpress theme.
To me, this really underlines the Law Of Reprecosity. If something is given freely then a person feels that they ought to give something back. The value of the information is very high, and I have no doubt that xfactor has done extremely well out of patiently answering questions time after time.
This is something I want to practise more of, regardless of the outcome. To me it feels like good karma to share something positive in our lives.
If anyone has any questions about what I do to earn money then please mail me on Gale_10@hotmail.co.uk.
During this week I am going to make a list of the tools that I am using to make money, as well as sharing the tips that I do. I want to make sure that I give everyone the benefit of my experience.
Incidentally, I have not yet bought the product that xfactor has written. I have taken the information from the thread and started a couple of sites, which I will let you know about in due course. Adsense is something that you do need to be consistant at, as well as all the other sorts of marketing.
I think $300 a day within six months is a great leap though. It just shows what you can do if you put your mind to it!
Best wishes,
Ruth

Wealthy Affiliate Member Says: Never Give In!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on July 28th, 2009
*Looks round at the dust piling up………………*
Yep I haven’t been around for about a month. I took July off to spend some time with my family, plus I had one or two items that needed some time spent on them away from the internet.
As I come back people are talking about another Google slap. It seems to me that there isn’t much information about the slap that is utterly quantifiable right now. One thing I have heard is that Google doesn’t like affiliate marketers and it is us that are getting slapped hardest.
If any of my readers are concerned about this, I would like to direct you to a guy I have been following for a while and who makes a whole lot of sense, Andrew Hansen. You can read his thoughts on Google slap.
So, one of the reasons I took some time off was because I was totally fed up with affiliate marketing, internet marketing, the whole nine yards.
I felt pulled in all sorts of directions, I felt let down by people I respected, and I felt that perhaps this just wasn’t going to be the career for me. I think many of us feel like that from time to time. Taking a month out has given me time to think about what I want to do and where I have been going wrong.
Many of you will know that I have been internet marketing for about a year now. I am sad to admit that I do not yet earn enough to “fire my boss”. I did seriously think about giving up the whole deal, canceling my Aweber and Hostgator accounts and heading back to what some consider normality. But there is something inside me that knows that this can work, and that it will work for me.
I have gathered so much information in the last year, so much knowledge, that surely it must count for something? It feels like I have all the pieces of the jigsaw but I just need to line them all up right.
Then I realised what was missing. It is fairly embarrassing to admit but what I have lacked is consistancy.
I know I need to keep doing things day after day to make the links and get the recognition I need to succeed. I need to be seen as an expert in my niche, and I need my site to have links, great links.
For your information, I have tried a few link shortcuts and frankly they do not work. I have added my site to link directory after link directory - don’t bother. Unless you have a page on your site that has a load of reciprocal links (who would want that anyway, it would ruin your SEO techniques) then you really shouldn’t waste time with that.
I believe that in order to get good quality links you need to think about what you are putting out there. Get links these ways:
Putting articles on EzineArticles. GoArticles or similar
Making Squidoo lenses, or hubpages, or ehow to’s
Writing good comments on peoples blogs. By which I mean not “great blog interesting info” type comments - add some value people! I get hundreds of comments that are just a waste of time. I mark them as spam.
When you pay good money for links, I think those are the links people make. Generic meaningless comments that just get deleted.
So make it meaningful, add some value, give an opinion, help someone out, that way your comments will be appreciated.
Use forums. Most of them will allow a signature. This is a great way to build a reputation, build relationships. You can easily add value to a discussion in your particular niche. Every time you add value people will not only see that you know what you are talking about, but they will also see your signature with your website on it. It’s another link.
I read somewhere that a new site needs about 1,000 links. That sounds like a huge amount, but if you are consistant (see it comes back to that again!) that amount is possible. Decide how long you want to work on your site before it becomes successful, pulling in many visitors per day. 100 days? So you need to produce ten links a day.
I have a site that is a few months old and it has links, a few. Some internal links too, of course, they are vital. But I am going to work hard on it. I am going to invest some time in it.
Every single day in August I am going to add an article to my site, to EzineArticles, plus to anywhere else I can where I can add value. I am aiming at ten links per day. I will not be checking email every five minutes, hanging out on twitter, chatting on the phone, or any other distraction. My daily goal is ten links which add value. Until I do that everything else can wait. It is my attempt at consistancy.
As always, my friends, I will let you know how I get on.
Best wishes,
Ruth
Wealthy Affiliate - What the others say!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on June 4th, 2009
Hi,
You have heard me talk about Wealthy Affiliate for months, and you know it is the only thing that has taught me to make some money. You know about the $1 offer. But this time, I don’t want you to take my word for it. This is what some of the one dollar subscribers are saying. Now, I swiped this section from an email that Kyle sent me - but I don’t suppose he will mind!

“Kyle,
Just wanted to say what’s up and thank you for letting me become part of your amazing community. I probably wouldn’t have joined if it weren’t for the $1 trial, but hell I am sure glad I did. I may in fact be a member 4 life…lol. I am off to check out all of the cool stuff within your community. Say hi to Carson for me.”

“Good morning, Kyle.
I have spent the better part of the last 48 hours doing research on WealthyAffiliates. I’m an entrepreneurial salesperson, always looking for an interesting way to both communicate effectively and influence buying decisions. I have to say that it was difficult to find even one negative comment about your service. So, needless to say, I’m excited to begin examining how to use my skills in this environment.
Anyhow, I wanted to introduce myself and tell you that I look forward to learning.”

Now, if you have been following my journey, you know that it hasn’t been an easy ride. IM, like anything else requires hard work. But it sure makes it easier when you have a great system to guide you.
See if you can still get a place for a dollar. It continues for a few more days only!

Wealthy Affiliate Member Has To Mention Stompernet Again!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on May 30th, 2009
Hello!
I have had a couple of days off, we have had great weather here in Scotland. You won’t hear that too often!
While I have been enjoying the sunshine and getting in some driving practise, (my test is 4th June), I have been thinking about this blog and how some people come in and read a few posts, but some are just driving by and maybe only read the top post.
So because of that I wanted to recommend again the unbelieveable offer from Stompernet. If you haven’t heard of Read the rest of this entry »
Wealthy Affiliate Member Wins Again!

Hello!
I have made a few more lenses you may want to take a look at. At the moment I am thinking about paypal, so I have made a few lenses along these lines.
http://www.squidoo.com/wii-games-paypal
http://www.squidoo.com/xbox-360-games-paypal
http://www.squidoo.com/ds-games-paypal
http://www.squidoo.com/clothes-with-paypal
http://www.squidoo.com/buy-cds-paypal
They are promoting some companies through an affiliate website. I am not going to tell you which one until I make sure they pay out ok, because I do not want to recommend something that is a dud. I do try and avoid that at all costs.
In my last post I mentioned a product which I completely trust to make money online. It really breaks the whole affiliate marketing down into super simple terms. With a bit of keyword research, this is a gold mine, and while I still wholeheartedly recommend Wealthy Affiliate, this product really goes along with it. It is called One Week Marketing, by PotPieGirl, and it is really excellent. Have a click and see how it looks to you.
This week I am putting opt-in boxes on my lenses, and putting my sadly underused Aweber account to more productive use. It is silly to pay for a tool and not use it to it’s capacity.
I don’t know if you are wanting to build yourself a business online, as I do, but if you do I got a good piece of advice this week. As I have probably mentioned, when you join Wealthy Affiliate you get to contact Kyle and Carson, who are the mentors and founders of Wealthy Affiliate. They are excellent, and give answers within 24 hours, and none of this help desk stuff - no they answer the questions themselves. Personal, pertinent replies.
Anyway I had got somewhat miserable about how I was doing, I explained what I had done and how much I felt I had worked, and Kyle said to me: “If you had bought a franchise you would give it more than two months to start making a good income wouldn’t you?” Of course, I had to agree. I started at Wealthy Affiliate on the 10th February. Now as you know I went to Mothers for a week during that time, and had another week off for something else - I think when the children were ill. So how am I expecting to build a business in six weeks. Sounds silly doesn’t it?
So I need to remember to be patient with myself. I see the amount of visitors to my website slowly rising. I see my visitors to my lenses increasing. I know that soon, I will see more money coming in. I just need to keep building my funnels and eventually the money will start dripping down to me.
I added a quote to my wall this week. It comes from Cesar Milan, otherwise known as The Dog Whisperer. He was talking to a client and she said: “All right, I will try.”
Cesar replied: “Don’t try: Do.”
So, with that in mind, this week I am not just trying to build a business, I am taking action to build it. In other words, I will “Do.”

Wealthy Affiliate Member - Grumpy!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on April 1st, 2009
Hello,
Somewhat grumpy today because I have made five squidoo lenses - details below - and despite my blogging and linking and writing articles they seem to be failing to be recognised by Google. I wrote them a few days ago - Friday I believe - and they are not recognised, even when I put in the whole URL in “”‘’s.
Well despite that my site, http://www.homebusinessforretirees-review.com is doing well. There have been quite a few clicks, I have them all analysed with a tool called my-linker. It’s free with Wealthy Affiliate and I am so pleased with it. It totally cloaks the links, which is great and will help me a great deal, but also it keeps track of all the clicks and the days they are clicked on etc etc. I haven’t had full use of the linker yet but I will be letting you all know!
As I mentioned before I built the site in Site Rubix, which again is part of the Wealthy Affiliate package. If you click on the Site Rubix there, it will take you to a demonstration of Site Rubix as part of the introduction to Wealthy Affiliate. So you can take a look around and see what you think. I can tell you that my knowledge of html is pretty minimal and I am pleased that even though that is the case I can still make a site that, at least to me, looks pretty good.
Anyway, I have three more articles to write today - I am putting them off because I am tired, which is very naughty - so I really must get on.
I will be spending a few days decorating my sons bedroom, we are all big Dr Who fans in our house and he is having Dr Who posters, curtains, bedspreads, light……….you get the picture! My brother is taking him to a Dr Who exhibition on the weekend so we want to get the basics done before then, and put up the bulk of the Dr Who stuff when he is out, so it is all Dr Who-ish when he gets back! Not sure who is more excited, me or him!LOL
Have a good few days,
Best wishes,
Ruth

Wealthy Affiliate Member Still!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on March 12th, 2009
Hello,
Yes, I am still around. I have been away for a week at Mothers, so no possibility of getting any significant work done there. I am still learning loads at Wealthy Affiliate and really enjoying my time there. I am still learning so much, and I am thinking about offering my new found skills to local businesses.
I think my experience of getting my squidoo lenses ranking pretty highly in Google, especially in a quite competitive arena, will help me be able to get most local businesses ranking highly, plus now my website building skills are rapidly improving, I could offer a good service all round.
I have Wealthy Affiliate to thank for this new found knowledge, and I am pleased to say it has been a huge eye-opener to me. I believe that, although I have not made huge amounts of money yet, it will come. Although I have been at Wealthy Affiliate for four weeks now, only three of them have been spent working (because of visiting Mothers) but by the time I have reached the end of the course, then I will be well on my way to earning a good income online.
If you would like to have a look at my squidoo lenses, here are the links:

and finally, my pet lens (not to do with Wealthy Affiliate)
http://www.squidoo.com/good-pet-stuff-for-kids
So they are my squidoo lenses, please feel free to let me know what you think of them.
I am not going to be doing much on Wealthy Affiliate for the next four days, because on Tuesday I have my theory driving test! I am pretty nervous and I will be studying like mad for it. I am so hoping to pass it and then pass my driving test. I even have a car sitting on the road next to my house, so I have something to drive as well.
I hope all my readers are doing well with whatever they are planning, as ever feel free to drop me a message if you think I can help in any way.
All the best,
Ruth
