Article Marketing- List Building for Mum’s
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 22nd, 2009
Hi,
This is the article I promised, I would love to know your opinions on it. It’s a different style to my normal way of writing so I really do need your feedback. Also I don’t have a proper title for it yet, so if you have any ideas, do let me know!
“Are you trying to earn some extra money on the internet? Have you tried
everything and only ended up frustrated and angry? Have you bought
ebook after ebook looking for the illusive formula; and not been able to put
anything into action?
It’s frustrating to spend hour after hour at your computer, subscribing to
email lists, trying to find the pieces of the puzzle that will fit together to
make you understand how, exactly, to earn some money at internet
marketing. How many times have you read, the money is in the list, the
money is in the relationship with the list, you need a list, you must have a
list - or even worse, bought something that promises you the world - then
you find out that you have to have a list of buyers to market it to!
Let me give you an illustration. When you look at your baby, you know that
you they learn by imitation. They know to get up and walk because you
walk. You have to take them by their little hand and show them how to
walk, how to do any number of things, right?
So how about if someone took you, step by step, through the maze of
emails, ebooks, and systems, and showed you how to build a business
online?
I am talking about List Building with Alex. It does exactly that. This proven
system will take you step by step through everything that you need to do
in order to build an online business of your very own.
In the ebook which is available at no cost, for free, you can read about
Alex Jeffreys rise to success, how he started with nothing, a broke bloke.
How he worked to build his business, to this year becoming an internet
millionaire. He shows how he did it and how you can do it too. When
someone helps you and shows you step by step, exactly what to do - then
the whole situation becomes so much clearer, so much easier.
So instead of pouring money and time into ebooks that are simply
rehashed information, into software that you later find out is available for
free, just stop. I know I felt that I was pouring money into a black hole, with
nothing to show for it for a long time! Don’t feel like that any longer.
Internet Marketing Maze Conquered By Hand Led Mums!
You can escape the daily rush to work, the guilt pangs as you hand the
children over to the childminder. No more having to explain to your boss
that the children are ill again and can you have some more unpaid leave.
No more wondering who will look after the children when the heating goes
at school and they are all off for the day. And of course, no more missing
school plays, parent and student trips - you can be there for your children.
But, perhaps you feel like you have spent enough on information products
to last you a lifetime? Many people have felt like that, it’s understandable.
But people who have bought this have found that it’s much easier to make
profits with internet marketing with clear step by step instructions, and
have gone on to do so.
This information is highly valuable. List Building with Alex is not a get rich quick scheme, it’s not
about making fast money and getting out quick. This is all the information
that you will need to build a real, online business. That’s a business that
you can use for the rest of your life.
Jim, from Ireland, put into practise what he had learned from List Building
with Alex. In a few short weeks his list had built to over 3,500, and he was
earning 1,500 euros per day! He said: “At first I didn’t think it was going to
work, it was just another information product. But when I started putting
the information I had learned into action - wow, even a seasoned marketer
like me was impressed!” Jim G, JV village (www.JVvillage.ning.com).
We understand that people sometimes just don’t want to risk money,
especially these days when it’s getting more difficult to come by. So we
take all the risk for you. If you do decide to buy the List Building System,
we give you an eight week guarantee. When you purchase, just note down
the date you bought it. If, within 8 weeks, you don’t think the strategies you
have learned will generate you many times the cost of the product, then
just let us know. We will refund you, no questions asked.

List Building and Traffic Generation

Hi! You may notice a change in things this week. Yes I have swapped my old theme for a new one, and I think it looks just great.
Happy news also - I have got Google Analytics working at long last. Just as I was about to give up on it I got the green tick that tells me where all my fantastic traffic comes from and how much there is of it.
You may have noticed I havent been about much the last few days. I have had a few days off, really considering my options and thinking about what I need to be focused on. I think I had a bit of information overload where I ended up thinking about doing other things. But my commitment lies with this course and with generating great traffic and working hard to build my business this year. I know there are other ways to make money online but I want a good solid base to start my business off from, and this is it!
I am constantly amazed at how easy it is to be distracted. I think it really pays to be organized. As an at home Mum I am fortunate that my husband works at home too so we have our childcare needs covered. It does mean though that we have to be organized so that we both get time to work. Its all too easy to say well I want to do this today and it’s important, and then you don’t get the work done that you need to do.
So we have devised ourselves a new routine which allows me to get stuck in with work again, hurrah!
The plan is to do what I have been doing, but keep at it more regularly. I also need to keep checking my G/analytics because I will be applying the 80/20 rule - finding out the 20% that gets me 80% of my traffic and concentrating on that. Work smarter!
I mentioned the video competition that Alex Jeffreys and Maria Andros are promoting for Alex students, and so I will be doing as much as I can to organize a great video. I have left this quite late and therefore am unlikely to win but I want to make a really top-notch video. Keep your eyes peeled for the link, it will be on here!
I enjoy visiting others blogs, and it does provide me with links, so I will also be adding the sites that I like best to my blogroll. I have only just thought about doing that but I think it will be a good idea plus make it easier for me to dive over to them and visit.
I am part way through an article which I would really like some opinions on, I hope to be posting it here tomorrow. It’s a different sort of style to my normal way of writing, and I will tell you more about it tomorrow.
The final thing I will be looking at is giveaways, some of Alex students have had real success with this. It would be best for me to write something completely original, but I do have some things that I can grab that are really helpful to new marketers, to add to List Building with Alex. I am looking forward to putting together an excellent package.
Until then,
Best wishes,
Ruth

List Building is back!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 16th, 2009
Hello!
I have been at my mothers again, that is why you haven’t heard much from me. The thing about my family is that they don’t really understand about internet marketing, and they don’t understand that it’s important for me to work! They do not see “playing on the computer” as work, which makes it difficult to do anything while I am there. I tend to get accused of being unsociable!
Back to traffic - the competition I spoke about in December closed and I am delighted to say that Jim Gallgher of www.kotobot.com won the prize with a huge amount of traffic. Well done Jim!
You may well notice that many of the tips I have given here are ones that Jim has suggested, what a fantastic reward for being so helpful to so many people.
Last week we had a bonus module on the coaching course by Alex Jeffreys. It was given by the wonderful Maria Andros who is also known as the Queen of Video. She is great and gave huge amounts of information and tips on video marketing. The new competition is about making a video, there will be two prizes of $1,500 dollars each. Maria Andros will help Alex judge the videos, so it’s very exciting. I am also pleased that Maria recommends one of the products that I also use, Traffic Geyserwhich is a real plus for spreading out traffic all over the internet - over forty different sites including RSS feeds and podcasts.
I am about half way through catching up with module five on the coaching programme, so I will be writing more about this tomorrow when I finish it. It is high calibre stuff, very interesting and as always Alex manages to put things over in a really easy to understand way.
So, I will be back again tomorrow to give more of the outstanding information that is provided. Until then,
Best wishes,
Ruth

List Building - Article Writing
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 8th, 2009
Things are chugging along ok. I have found a great ebook about the psychology of customers which was expensive at $107, but nevertheless very interesting.
I wanted to tell you about some new article directories that have come to my attention. These are:
Buzzle.com
Searchwarp.com
Area219.com
These are, I hear, popular with Google. I have tried Area219 and they have an author bio box which is permanent - very handy. Although of course you have to be careful if you are promoting something specific, it has to remain very general.
Area219 allows affiliate links.
I haven’t tried the other two, as you know I am at my mothers house so work is somewhat limited.
Late tonight is the fifth module of the mentoring programme, and video queen Maria Andros is speaking, I am going to listen to the module tomorrow when it goes up on the members site. I will let you know what I find out, I am looking forward to having a go and making some more videos though. Also there is a competition with a prize money of $3,000, so that may prove to be rather interesting also.
Oh, one last tip. If you want to improve your page rankings, get a hubpage. I went from number five and six to four and five over night after I put up a hubpage. My hubpage is at http://hubpages.com/hub/List-Building-and-Traffic so give it a visit and a nice rating for me please!
Best wishes,
Ruth

List Building - Psychology!
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 7th, 2009

- Image via Wikipedia

Well I have been doing the usual stuff for my list building. I have also come down to Mums for a week, with number two son, and there was no wi fi on the train so today actually I haven’t even managed a classified ad.
What I have been doing is some reading some marketing material, because you know I think my copywriting - well to be honest, is sucks. So I have been trying to get my head round some information about psychology, and the psychology of marketing.
I have found this site, and I found it via copyblogger.com, it’s called psychotactics.com. Very interesting stuff, and so I am trying to change all my classified to include lots of psychological who harr, to encourage people to join my list. Apparently it’s important to empathise with the customers pain, also important to show the cost value of the product you are marketing.
I am pleased to learn that Garry Parkes has done the second edition of his fabulous newsletter. I only sent the last one out a little while ago, because people are so busy during the holidays, I thought perhaps they wouldn’t have time to read it.
I haven’t really got anything new to tell you, so I am going to say goodnight now, I hope everyone is doing well.
Will give you all the news as it occurs!
Best wishes,
Ruth

Tools That Help List Building
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 5th, 2009
Today I want to talk about one of the tools that I have used to get my traffic so far. Over the last couple of weeks I have been driving lots of traffic to this blog, but I haven’t had the sign-ups that I have wanted.
So for the next few days until the next module of training (Thursday) I have been directing some of my paid traffic through to my squeeze page to see if it does any better. It’s not on advice from Alex, but it’s just something I wanted to try for myself.
So, tools. For everything anyone ever wanted to build, there are tools, and list building is no exception. I have told you about a few of the ones I have liked over the past couple of weeks, but there is one more that I have been testing that I want to tell you about also.
The first one is free, so off to a great start there! It consists of three pieces of software, the first is very useful to us because it let’s the user know if a blog has “no-follow” plug-ins. This means if you go to the trouble of writing on the blog, and it does have the no-follow plug-ins, then you won’t get the benefit of trackbacks to your blog. You can then concentrate on the blogs that do allow trackbacks and this will improve your general rank. Remember what Alex says about associating yourself with leaders? Well this part of the software helps with that.
The other piece of software that it contains checks other peoples sites Alexa rank and what back links it has, which can be useful because sometimes sites can have back links to undesirable sites, which Google spiders might not like.
There is another piece of software but to be honest I didn’t use, and don’t really know how to explain but it does apparently help with SEO. The link for all these free pieces of software is here.
There is another thing I want to show you and maybe you will think this is cheesy, but I was shown something similar recently and it motivated me.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1HNHbucBXrA
There you go, I hope it works for you too. I try and remember this when gathering the list seems to be an up hill battle, and not one that I am winning.
Right, thats me off to bed, it’s 12.14am here!
Best wishes,
Ruth

Blogging traffic
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on January 1st, 2009
Today I want to talk about two ways of getting traffic. Both are great fun! This comes as a surprise because most of the traffic tips that I have shared lately have seemed to involve cash, and neither of these do, hurrah!
The first one is a traffic exchange, and this was recommended to me by Kotobot.com, Jim Gallagher. Truly a person who knows what he is talking about with over 5,000 visits to his blog! Marvellous.
Anyway, it’s called Blogclicker and its fun. Jim says he gets around 100 people a day for doing ten minutes looking at other peoples blogs. Well, I have had a go and I think it’s great fun looking at blogs, I was planning on just doing ten minutes or so when I glanced at the clock half an hour had gone by! I thoroughly recommend this one, for the sheer fun factor. I am not so keen when I don’t understand the language of the blog - but nearly always they are in English, so that’s good.
The second one I want to tell you about is www.icerocket.com. It is a site that lists blogs, and it shows the latest blog posts. You put in the keywords that you want to highlight or read about, say affiliate marketing or list building, and it will show you all the latest blog posts that use those keywords. This is good fun also, and you can learn some interesting stuff. For instance I found a blog that has a list of all the traffic exchanges that the person recommended.
I plan on having a look at them and if I feel its a good deal or good idea I will let you know, of course.

I nearly forgot my lady of the day, here she is.
I hope you all had a wonderful first day of 2009, I certainly did.
Best wishes,
Ruth

List Building with Alex Jeffreys - getting traffic.
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on December 30th, 2008
I was thinking about traffic, you know, of the cars vans and lorries variety. Real traffic. The really heavy traffic comes when everyone is heading the same way, usually around holiday time, and its usually because they are off to do something fun.
So to get traffic to our blogs, we need to make sure something fun is happening here at our blogs.
We we were kids we hated the teachers who would just stand and talk, lecturing us. We bloggers don’t want to have the same reputation as those teachers! Adults don’t like lectures either.
So from now on, I am going to tell you the things I have been doing to get traffic in a short snappy and (hopefully) sometimes humourous way.
If you look down the side bar of this blog you can see I have a new pic, about internet forums. Internet forums are great because you can go in there, help people, get a good reputation and have your url in the signature at the bottom of your comment. This forum goes one further, if you leave comments and refer people, they let you put up banners. So not only do you benefit yourself you benefit others, then benefit yourself again! Fantastic!
Second thing - you know when you see that item on QVC and you buy it, and then forget it in the kitchen cupboard? We have all done it - it seemed like a great idea at the time! Well, don’t do what I did and forget a traffic exchange I had signed up with for free, I went there today because someone had sent me a message - and realized I had credits that I could swap for traffic! So I quickly spent those to get some traffic here, of course.
Remember, if you want to learn much more about building your list, getting good traffic and building your business in 2009, sign up to the ebook, List Building with Alex. He is our guide, and the whole team are learning loads.
Best wishes,
Ruth

Article marketing and how to build a list
Posted by Gale10 in Uncategorized on December 27th, 2008
Hello there!
Do you sometimes feel you have lots of information swirling round your head in no particular order? I do. What I do when that happens is I do a brain dump - I write down everything I can think of thats buzzing around in there and I write it down. Great for clearing the mind. Our mentor Alex Jeffreys taught us that, among many other things.
I have written an article today and put it on to my favourite article site which is www.goarticles.com. It’s my favourite because it puts the articles up really quickly. Some article sites take weeks to put up articles which I personally find very annoying. If you have made a mistake with goarticles they tell you straight away - you cannot actually post an article with what they consider a mistake in it. Which is so much better than some of them.
The most popular one is ezine articles, which have a human check the articles and they are very strict. One thing that I learned recently is that, contary to popular opinion, you can have active links in ezine articles provided they are after the third paragraph. I am going to write one for ezines next and see if I can confirm this from personal experience. If I can, of course, I will let you know.
I have not got a great deal to tell you today about anything I have been doing about traffic. I have got myself into a little routine of doing six tasks on a daily basis. These aren’t always successful - for instance I don’t always find myself able to make ten comments on forums, but that is what I aim for. I guess with everyone being on holiday around this time, less people are online asking questions!
So, I will leave you in peace, and let you know any other ideas and thoughts I have when they happen!
Best wishes,
Ruth
